Dai is a moody, antipathic, ordinary teenage boy, except he was born with synesthesia, a condition in which the five senses are mixed up inside the brain, making him able to "hear" with his sense of touch and "touch" what he hears. After a few humiliating incidents he decides to get himself "cured" and visits an eccentric but passionate doctor who promises a permanent fix. In exchange, Dai has to become his experimental subject and help him gather nine other synesthetes with the missing sense-to-sense connections to create the perfect cure. Armed with a gun-like syringe and his synesthesia increased tenfold, Dai begins the search for those with his same affliction, but through their eyes and their different experiences, the lines between blessing and curse begin to blur.
